U-Pass program update

U-Pass is a collaborative program, which began in 2009 with the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø North Star Borough. The program provides students, faculty and staff with the opportunity to ride the mass transit system at no charge with a PolarExpress card. U-Pass ridership for 2010 was 106,442 rides, an increase of 2.3 percent from 2009. On the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø campus, UAF shuttles tallied record ridership in the last week of November, and ridership for the semester is up 18 percent over last year.
