Pesticide applicator training scheduled

Certified pesticide applicator training will take place by distance delivery Jan. 26-28 or April 6-8.

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Cooperative Extension Service offers both trainings by Zoom, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The state requires certification for anyone who purchases, uses or sells restricted-use pesticides. Certification is also required for anyone who acts as a pesticide consultant, engages in the commercial or contract use of pesticides or supervises their use at a public location.

A $75 fee includes study materials. Register for both trainings at . Participants are encouraged to become familiar with the materials and required math beforehand. Materials are available by appointment at Extension offices in Anchorage, Palmer and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. They will be mailed to individuals in other communities.
