October museum programs feature carnivores

Hands-on programs at the University of Alaska Museum of the North during the month of October will focus on carnivores.

The Early Explorers program for families with children 5 and under will take place each Friday from 10 a.m. to noon. On Saturday, Oct. 13, the Junior Curators program, which is open to children 6 and older, will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. These activities are included with admission.

In addition to its regular programs, the museum will host its annual Halloween at the Museum event Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. Come in costume, explore the galleries and learn about collections. Admission is free and donations of canned food for the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Community Food Bank are requested.
