Nerd Nite at the Pub seeks presenters

If you have a topic of substance that you must share with the world, do it at Nerd Nite at the Pub this semester.

"The events are similar to TedTalks, but with local presenters on a range of topics," according to ����vlog���� Nerd Nite coordinator Jessica Johnson. "Their slogan is 'It’s like Discovery Channel, but with beer!'”

The Pub and Johnson are  seeking presenters for the fall semester. Nerd Nite will be held once per month on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. until fall classes end in December.

"The ideal talk has a little bit of substance — people enjoy learning something over a beer — but not too much substance, since the crowd can only absorb so much learning over a beer," Johnson said.

Talks should last about 20 minutes. Audio and video clips are welcome.

Faculty, staff, administrators and students can all participate.
