Japanese exchange to host cultural event

The 4-H Japanese exchange program will host a Japanese game and craft event from 2 – 3 p.m. on Aug. 15 in the Noel Wien Library auditorium.

Japanese youth in ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø for summer exchange and their host families will lead activities, including Japanese games and origami. Participants may also learn how to write their names in Japanese and decorate a fan.

A dozen Japanese youths are visiting Alaska from July 22 - Aug. 18 through the exchange program that promotes international friendship and global understanding. Four are staying with ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø families.
