Extension Week classes offered

The ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Cooperative Extension Service will host 14 free community classes in ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø on everything from backpack cookery to managing your woodlot.
The one- to two-hour classes will be offered Oct. 13-17 as part of Fall Extension Week at the Tanana District office. Other topics include cleaning with green products, finding housing for your college teen, medicating livestock, gardening with children, using a GPS, companion planting, using a sourdough starter, raising livestock, preparing mushrooms, making bread, Zumba fitness and an overview of Alaska-grown herbs.
Extension agents and staff, and community experts will teach the classes at the district office at 724 27th Ave., in the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Community Food Bank building. See the full schedule and class descriptions at .
All classes meet at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. or 6 p.m. Space is limited, so preregistration is required. To register or for more information, call 907-474-1530.
